Year 8 - Flash Animation

We are going to use a new program to create an animation. Click on the Start button in the bottom left corner of your screens. Then click 'All Programs' then the folder called 'CS3 Master Collection'. Finally, you should open 'Adobe Flash CS3 Professional'.

Below are some video tutorials for you to work through at your own pace. Any work that you produce for now will be experimental and will not be assessed. Once you have learnt all the skills from the tutorials I will set you a project to create your own animation for a House Competition. Unti then, work your way through the tutorials and try out the new skills:

Stop-Motion Animation

Today you must create your own stop-motion animation using your phones. Even if you do not have the app, you can take the photos on your phone and then we can create an animation with the photos another time.

Tips:
  • work in pairs
  • one person holds the camera, the other moves the objects
  • keep the camera as still as possible
  • the more photos and smaller the movement, the more realistic your animations will look
  • be creative - use inanimate objects from your pencil case/bag
  • you have until 3:20 to create your animation
The animations below only took about 5 minutes to make (I was working with a partner for all of them):
