Year 8: Using Formula on Excel Spreadsheets

I have completed the supermarket spreadsheet for you to use from Monday's lesson. You can download it here:

I would like you to add formula to the spreadsheet to work out:

  • the best price per item
  • the average price per item
  • the total cost per supermarket
  • the cheapest/most expensive supermarket for those 6 items
Here are some useful formula for you:

=AVERAGE(write cells here)
=SUM(write cells here)
=MIN(write cells here)

Also use some conditional formatting to help illustrate the cheapest options for all of your items.

If you finish, you should start to design your own spreadsheet for items that you are interested in (clothes, music, games, footballers etc).
